According to the official update, Class 11 exams will start on 16 March 2026, while Class 9 exams will begin on 18 March 2026 in schools affiliated with the board . The exams will be conducted in two shifts across the state. School authorities will organise the examinations at the institutional level while following the guidelines issued by the board.

 

Bihar Board Class 11 Exam 2026 Schedule and Dates

The annual examinations for Class 11 students will commence in mid-March and continue for several days depending on subject groups. The following schedule highlights the key exam period announced for Class 11 students.

Bihar Board Class 9 Exam 2026 Schedule

Bihar Board Exam Shift Timings

The board has also indicated that exams will be conducted in two shifts each day to manage a large number of students across schools. Before reviewing the shift timings, students should note that reporting early is recommended by schools.

  • Morning Shift: 9:30 AM – 12:45 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM

Schools and students must follow the guidelines issued by the board during the exam period. Important instructions include:
