The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assamhas released the Assam NEET Counselling 2025 Provisional Merit List for admission into MBBS and BDS courses. A total of 19,809 candidates have been included in the provisional merit list for Assam NEET 2025 Counselling. The merit list of Assam NEET Counselling is available on the official website at dme.assam.gov.in. The Assam NEET Counselling 2025 merit list contains details such as the NEET 2025 roll number, candidate’s name, sex, category, total marks, percentile, rank, and applicant state. Candidates can now check their merit status and prepare for the upcoming counselling rounds.
How to Check Assam NEET 2025 Counselling Merit List?
Candidates can check the provisional merit list on the official website. Follow the steps below to check the Assam NEET 2025 provisional merit list online. The steps are as given below-
- Visit the official website at dme.assam.gov.in.
- Click on the tab ‘Admission Notice – UG/PG/Others’.
- Click on the link ‘Educational Notice – Provisional Assam State Merit List – NEET UG 2025’.
- Search for candidates’name or NEET 2025 roll number to check their merit status.
- Download the merit list for future reference.
Assam NEET Counselling: Category Change Option Open Till 11th July
DME Assam has also allowed candidates to request a change in their category. The last date to apply for a category change is 11th July 2025. Candidates must fill the category change form and submit it physically at:

Applications via post or email will not be accepted. Candidates must carry supporting documents regarding their category change. A receipt of acknowledgement must be collected during submission.
After reviewing all valid claims, DME Assam will release the Final Assam NEET 2025 Merit List. This will be published on the official website. The Assam NEET counselling dates 2025 will be announced shortly. The counselling will follow the official NEET 2025 counselling schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates must stay updated by regularly visiting www.dme.assam.gov.in.
