The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has commenced the Assam NEET UG 2025 counselling Round 2 registration, allowing candidates to apply for MBBS and BDS admissions through the state quota.
Assam NEET Round 2 Registration and Choice Filling Schedule
The Assam NEET 2025 Round 2 registration is active from 8 to 9 September 2025 on the official portal, dme.assam.gov.in. Candidates may apply and participate in the online counselling if they were unallotted or wish to upgrade their college preference. Choice filling and locking will be conducted between 10 and 11 September, 2025.
Seat Allotment and Reporting Timeline for Assam NEET Round 2
The seat allotment results for Round 2 will be announced on 19 September 2025. Candidates who receive allotment must report to their allocated college between 24 and 25 September 2025 to confirm their admission.
New Medical College Seats Added in Assam
To accommodate increased demand, new MBBS seats have been added across various institutions:
- Guwahati Medical College: 250 seats
- Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh: 250 seats
- Pragjyotishpur Medical College, Guwahati: 50 seats
- Silchar Medical College: 150 seats This brings a total of 700 additional seats for state quota counselling.
What Candidates Need to Know: Registration vs. Choice Filling
Candidates who registered earlier in Round 1 are not required to register again. However, they must complete fresh online choice filling and ensure it is locked by 11 September as per the updated schedule.
