Assam HSLC and HS Exam 2027 may be delayed after floods and census activities disrupted the academic calendar. ASSEB has extended regular classes until February 22 for Class 10 and March 8 for Class 12, while final examination dates remain awaited in the cited notification.
The Assam HSLC HS Exam 2027 may be held later than usual after floods and ongoing census activities disrupted the academic calendar, prompting the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) to extend regular classes for Class 10 and Class 12 students. The board has said the examination schedules will be decided in accordance with the revised teaching arrangements.
According to the board’s notification dated September 8, 2026, regular classes for Assam HSLC Class 10 will continue until February 22, 2027, while Class 12 classes will continue until March 8, 2027 to help complete the prescribed syllabus. The final Assam Board exam dates for 2027 have not been confirmed in the notice. Students should check the official ASSEB Division-I notifications page for updates.
Why Assam Board Exams 2027 May Be Delayed
The board has identified two key factors behind the extended teaching schedule.
- Flood disruption: Recent floods in some districts affected the regular academic schedule and created concerns about completing the syllabus on time.
- Census activities: Ongoing census-related work also disrupted the academic calendar, according to the board’s notification.
The extension is intended to ensure that Class 10 and Class 12 students receive adequate classroom instruction and that schools have sufficient time to complete the prescribed syllabus before the examinations.
