The Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, has started the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2025 application process for the October session from October 24, 2025. The online examwill be held on December 10, 2025, across all districts. The application window will remain open till November 23, 2025on the official website cse.ap.gov.in.
AP TET 2025 Exam Schedule and Fee Details
The Andhra Pradesh TET 2025 will be conducted online in four papers – Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, and Paper-2B – for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 8 in general and special schools.
Applicants must pay a fee of INR 1,000 per paper, which can be submitted through the official website. Candidates can also download the detailed information bulletin from the same portal.

APTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must meet the required educational qualifications.
Applicants holding a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply. Those pursuing the final semester of these courses can also appear for the exam.

Qualifying Marks and Validity
Each paper carries 150 marks, and the qualifying marks vary by category:

The APTET certificate will remain valid for a lifetime, as per NCTE norms. The APTET score will carry a 20% weightage in the Teacher Recruitment Tests (TRT) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh government.
Guidelines for Private School Teachers
Teachers working in private unaided schools whose appointments are not approved by the competent authority must qualify TET conducted by either the State Government or the Central Government. Those working in private aided schools must appear only for the state-conducted TET.
The APTET qualification remains mandatory for teaching positions in all government, aided, and private schools across Andhra Pradesh.
