APSET 2025 Notification Released, Exam Dates, Eligibility & Fees

The APSET 2025 Notification has been officially released by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government. The test is conducted to determine eligibility for recruitment as Lecturers and Assistant Professors in universities and degree colleges across Andhra Pradesh. Applicants can submit their forms on the official website apset.net.in once the portal opens.

 

APSET 2025 Important Dates

Candidates planning to appear for APSET 2025 should note the key dates for application submission, exam, and hall ticket release. The dates are listed below for better planning:

APSET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for APSET 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A Master’s degree from a recognised university.
  • Minimum marks: 55% for General and EWS categories; 50% for SC, ST, BC, PWD, and Third Gender candidates.
  • Candidates in the final year of their Master’s program are also eligible.

These guidelines ensure candidates meet the standard academic requirements as per the UGC 2023 norms.

APSET 2025 Exam Pattern

The APSET exam is conducted in online mode and consists of two papers:

  1. Paper 1: Mandatory for all candidates; focuses on teaching and research aptitude.
  2. Paper 2: Subject-specific; covers 30 subjects recognised by APSET.

Both papers are held on the same day according to the published exam timetable. The exam is designed to assess candidates’ academic knowledge and teaching competency.

 

About APSET 2025

The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) is conducted under G.O.Ms.No.47 of the Higher Education (CE) Department and aligns with UGC guidelines 2023. It is a mandatory requirement for hiring lecturers and assistant professors in Andhra Pradesh’s universities and degree colleges. Andhra University is responsible for organising the test and releasing notifications, hall tickets, and final results.
