AP Special TET 2026: Registration Begins, Check Dates

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department released the Special TET 2026 notification on August 24 for eligible in-service teachers. The online application process started on August 25, 2026.

Eligible teachers can submit their applications and pay the examination fee until September 24, 2026. The Special TET will be conducted in CBT mode from October 11 to October 21, 2026.

Who Can Apply for AP Special TET 2026?

The Special TET is intended for in-service teachers appointed before 2011 who need to obtain the mandatory TET qualification.

Eligible teachers can be working in:

• Government schools
• Local body schools
• AP Residential Educational Institutions
• Government welfare residential schools
• AP Model Schools
• Private aided schools
• Schools managed by other government departments

The examination is meant for continuation of service and promotion and will not be used for fresh teacher recruitment.

AP Special TET 2026 Application Fee

Candidates must pay INR 1,000 for each paper they choose.

The application fee must be paid online along with the application within the prescribed deadline.

The examination will be conducted in two sessions each day in computer-based mode.

Teachers who are required to qualify for both levels will have to appear for both papers.
