The AP LAWCET 2026 exam pattern includes 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The entrance exam is conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

Candidates preparing for AP LAWCET 2026 should understand the exam pattern to plan their preparation effectively. The Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test is conducted for admission to three-year and five-year LLB programmes offered by universities and affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The exam is organised by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). According to the official schedule, the AP LAWCET 2026 examination will be held on May 4, 2026 in computer-based mode. The exam tests candidates on various skills such as general awareness, legal aptitude, and reasoning ability.

 

AP LAWCET 2026 Exam Pattern Overview

The entrance exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and candidates must select the correct answer from the options provided.

Since there is no negative marking, candidates are advised to attempt all questions during the examination.

What Happens After the Exam?

After the examination is conducted, the authorities will release the preliminary answer key on May 7, 2026. Candidates will be able to raise objections against the answer key until May 9, 2026. The final results of AP LAWCET 2026 will be declared on May 18, 2026. Candidates who qualify will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to law colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
