AP LAWCET 2026 Counselling Dates Soon, Cutoff & Seat Allotment

AP LAWCET 2026 counselling dates are yet to be announced officially. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is expected to release the counselling schedule soon for candidates seeking admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes through AP LAWCET 2026. Candidates can expect the counselling process to include registration, certificate verification, web-option entry and seat allotment.

AP LAWCET 2026 was conducted on May 4, while the result was announced on May 18. Candidates who have qualified the entrance examination will be eligible to participate in the AP LAWCET counselling process once the schedule is released.

AP LAWCET 2026 Counselling Process

Candidates should be prepared to complete the following stages once the counselling window opens:

  1. Visit the official AP LAWCET counselling portal.
  2. Register using the required personal and examination details.
  3. Pay the counselling processing fee.
  4. Upload the required certificates and documents.
  5. Complete certificate verification.
  6. Enter preferred colleges and LLB courses through web options.
  7. Submit and lock the choices as per the counselling schedule.
  8. Check the AP LAWCET seat allotment result.
  9. Complete self-reporting and college reporting if a seat is allotted.

Candidates should enter a sufficiently broad list of college preferences instead of restricting their choices to only one or two institutions. They should also verify all details carefully because discrepancies between the counselling application and original certificates may create problems during verification.

AP LAWCET Counselling 2026: Documents Required

Candidates should keep scanned copies of the required documents ready before AP LAWCET counselling registration begins. Documents required in the previous counselling cycle included the AP LAWCET rank card, hall ticket, qualifying examination certificate and consolidated marks memo.

Other documents may include the Provisional Certificate or Original Degree, Transfer Certificate, SSC marks memo, study certificate, residence certificate, income certificate and caste certificate, wherever applicable. Candidates should check the official counselling notification for the final document list and prescribed formats.

AP LAWCET Cutoff Trends 2026: Expected Ranks

The AP LAWCET cutoff 2026 will be finalised after counselling and seat allotment. Therefore, college-wise closing ranks cannot be confirmed before the counselling process begins.

The qualifying requirement for General and OBC candidates is 35%, equivalent to 42 marks out of 120. SC and ST candidates do not have a minimum qualifying marks requirement for AP LAWCET. However, meeting the qualifying requirement does not guarantee admission to a particular college.

The expected admission trends indicate that top government colleges may close around ranks 500 to 1,000, while competitive or aided colleges may have closing ranks up to around 5,000. Later counselling rounds and spot admissions may extend beyond 20,000, depending on seat availability and candidate preferences. These are indicative trends and not final 2026 closing ranks.

AP LAWCET Seat Allotment 2026: How It Will Work

The AP LAWCET seat allotment 2026 will depend on several factors, including the candidate's rank, category, course preference, college preference, local or non-local status, available seats and the number of candidates participating in counselling.

Candidates who receive a preferred seat will have to complete self-reporting and college reporting within the prescribed deadline. Applicable admission or tuition fees may also have to be paid to confirm the admission. Candidates dissatisfied with their allotment should check whether participation in a subsequent counselling phase is permitted.
