National Law University (NLU) Delhi has released the AILET 2026 second provisional merit list for BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM admissions. Shortlisted candidates must pay the provisional admission confirmation fee of INR 50,000 by 11 AM on 27 January 2026 to secure their seats.
The second provisional merit list for AILET 2026 counselling has been released by the National Law University (NLU) Delhi on 21 January 2026. Candidates who registered for the counselling process for both BA LLB (Hons.) and Master of Laws (LLM) programmes can now access and download the merit list PDF from the university’s official admissions portal.
AILET 2026 Second Merit List Highlights
The second merit list has been issued to fill seats that remained vacant after the first round of counselling. Under this list:
- 16 candidates have been shortlisted for BA LLB (Hons.) admission.
- 9 candidates have been shortlisted for LLM admission.
These lists are part of the ongoing AILET 2026 counselling process, designed to ensure that available seats are offered to eligible law aspirants based on merit and rank.
Admission Fee and Confirmation Deadline
Candidates included in the second provisional merit list must complete the fee payment process to confirm their seats at NLU Delhi. The university has stipulated the following:
- Provisional admission confirmation fee: INR 50,000
- Fee deposit deadline: By 11 AM on 27 January 2026
Failure to pay the fee within the given timeline may result in cancellation of the provisional seat, which could then be offered to candidates in subsequent lists.

What Comes Next in the Admission Process?
After confirming their seats by paying the provisional fee, selected candidates will move forward with the formal admission process, including document verification and further fee formalities as per NLU Delhi guidelines.
