The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the exam schedule for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 10 for 2026. The recruitment drive offers more than 3,000 nursing officer vacancies across AIIMS and other participating institutions. Eligible aspirants can start the online application process from 24 February 2026 and submit forms until 5:00 pm on 16 March 2026 at aiimsexams.ac.in.
AIIMS NORCET 10 2026 Exam Schedule
The NORCET 10 recruitment exam will be conducted in two stages:
- Stage‑I (Preliminary Exam): 11 April 2026
- Stage‑I Result: 16 April 2026
- Stage‑II (Mains Exam): 30 April 2026
- Stage‑II Result: 11 May 2026
Candidates who qualify in the prelims will be eligible to sit for the mains exam. Separate admit cards will be issued for each stage, which applicants must download from the official portal before the respective exam dates.
Online Registration & Application Process
Aspiring nursing officers must apply online between 24 February and 16 March 2026 on the AIIMS exam portal — aiimsexams.ac.in. During registration, candidates will be required to:
- Create a login profile
- Fill in personal and educational details
- Upload required documents
- Pay the application fee online
The application fee is INR 3,000 for General and OBC candidates and INR 2,400 for SC, ST and EWS categories. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from the fee.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
To be eligible for NORCET 10 2026, candidates must have:
- B.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing Post Basic degree from a recognised university along with registration with the State/Indian Nursing Council,ORDiploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with two years of relevant experience and active nursing registration.
Selection will be based on performance in the prelims and mains computer‑based tests. Candidates who clear both stages and meet all criteria will proceed to the next recruitment formalities.
