AICTE QIP 2026 Application Open Till 30 April for full-time Master’s and PhD programmes under the Quality Improvement Programme for the academic session 2026-27. The Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education, Prof. Yogesh Singh, announced the launch along with a dedicated online portal. Interested and eligible faculty members can submit their applications at qip.aicte.gov.in on or before 30 April 2026.
AICTE QIP 2026 Master’s and PhD Eligibility Criteria
The programme is designed exclusively for full-time regular or permanent faculty members working in degree and diploma institutions across India.
For Master’s Degree (2 Years):
- Minimum one year of teaching experience at the polytechnic level
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree
For PhD Programme (3 Years):
- Minimum three years of teaching experience
- Relevant Master’s degree

AICTE QIP 2026 Financial Assistance and Benefits
The programme provides financial support to selected candidates through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This assistance aims to support academic and research activities. The financial support structure includes:
- INR 9,000 per month for Master’s students
- INR 15,000 per month for PhD scholars
- Additional annual contingency grant for academic expenses
The initiative focuses on improving subject knowledge, research skills, and modern teaching methodologies among faculty members.
AICTE QIP 2026 Application Process and Screening
The application process is conducted online through the dedicated portal. Applications will undergo multiple stages of screening. The review will be carried out by the Nodal QIP Centre at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and other designated QIP institutes. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews or tests at their selected centres.
Important Requirements for AICTE QIP 2026 Application
Applicants must fulfil the following conditions while submitting the form:
- Possess a valid AICTE Faculty ID
- Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent institution
- Provide Aadhaar details
- Select up to three programme options
If selected for more than one programme, candidates may choose the preferred option before final admission.

- Photograph and signature
- Aadhaar Card
- Experience certificate
- Mark sheets of Class 10, Class 12, and graduation
- Class 12 passing certificate
- Master’s mark sheet and certificate
- GATE certificate, if applicable
- NET UGC/CSIR certificate, if applicable
- JRF UGC/CSIR certificate, if applicable
- Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
