The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited applications for the Industry Fellowship Programme 2025. The initiative offers opportunities to 350 faculty members who will serve as full-time industry fellows for at least one year during the 2025–26 academic session. Applications can be submitted on the official website — ifp.aicte.gov.in — until October 15, 2025.
AICTE Industry Fellowship 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The programme is designed for young and mid-career faculty members to enhance collaboration between academia and industry. Applicants must:
- Be under 45 years of age.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
- Possess a minimum of five years of regular teaching experience in AICTE-approved institutions (doctoral or post-doctoral research periods will not count).
In addition, candidates must fulfil at least one of the following conditions:
- Qualified in national or state-level entrance exams such as GATE, GRE, CAT, MAT, JRF, SRF, or NET.
- Published five or more research papers in Scopus or Web of Science indexed journals.
- Completed funded projects with grants of INR 15 lakh or above.
- Received young scientist or proficiency awards from central or state bodies.
- Secured first, second, or third academic rank in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes, or earned a Best Thesis Award during doctoral studies.
Industry Partner Requirements
To host fellows, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered in India and operational for at least five years.
- Maintain an average annual turnover of INR 100 crore or more in the past three years.
- Eligible organisations include proprietorships, partnerships, limited companies, and PSUs.
- Preference will be given to companies listed on Indian stock exchanges or those with significant overseas presence.
Documents Required for AICTE Fellowship 2025
Applicants are required to upload documents while applying. These include:
- Recent passport-sized photograph in JPEG format (max 100 KB)
- Aadhaar card and PAN card
- Academic certificates and mark sheets
- Experience certificates from current and past employers
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent institution
Candidates applying for the first time must create an account on the portal.
Stipend and Benefits
Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of INR 75,000, along with a minimum industry contribution of INR 25,000 per month. This amount will be paid in addition to the salary from their home institutions.
AICTE Industry Fellowship 2025 Selection Process
The fellowship will begin on December 1, 2025. The selection process will take place from November 1 to November 15, 2025, and will involve three stages:
- Application review and document verification
- Interview rounds by industry partners
- Final verification by host industry to confirm eligibility
