The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the Industry Fellowship Programme (IFP) 2025 for faculty members of AICTE-approved institutions. - Regular faculty member of an AICTE-approved institution (part-time, ad-hoc, contract, or visiting faculty are not eligible).
- Minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience.
- Maximum age of forty-five years.
- Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following:
- Qualified in GATE, GRE, CAT, MAT, JRF/SRF, NET, or equivalent examinations.
- Published a minimum of five articles in Scopus or Web of Science journals.
- Completed government-funded projects totalling INR 15 lakh or more.
- Received young scientist awards or recognition from reputable organisations.
- Achieved top ranks in undergraduate or postgraduate programs, or received honours such as Best Thesis Award.
- Must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current institution.
Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of INR 1 lakh, comprising INR 75,000 from AICTE and a minimum of INR 25,000 from the industry partner, in addition to their regular academic salary.
Duration and Key Dates of AICTE Fellowship 2025
The fellowship will commence on 1 December 2025 and will run for one year. This full-time programme provides an opportunity for faculty members to immerse themselves in industry projects and innovation.
Selection Process and Industry Placement
The AICTE Industry Fellowship selection will be conducted in three stages. Candidates will first undergo application evaluation and document verification, followed by an industry interview, and finally a document verification by the industry partner. The final merit list will be prepared based on overall performance across all stages. Fellows will be placed in sectors including:
