The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued a notice directing technical institutions and universities to submit details of new courses and nomenclature for inclusion in the Approval Process Handbook 2026-27. The deadline for submission is September 25, 2025.
AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2026-27: Submission Guidelines
According to the notice, any university or institution intending to start a new course or branch not listed in Annexure-11 of the Approval Process Handbook must seek prior concurrence from AICTE.
- Institutions must submit a detailed syllabus, curriculum, and course nomenclature.
- Submissions should be endorsed by the Registrar of the affiliating university or Director of the affiliating Board.
- Documents must be sent to the Policy and Academic Planning Bureau of AICTE before September 25, 2025.
Importance of Compliance for Technical Institutes
Compliance ensures that new courses are officially recognised and included in the AICTE Approval Process Handbook, which guides approvals for academic sessions 2026-27. Institutions failing to submit by the deadline may face delays in approval for the upcoming academic year.
