AIBE 21 Exam Guidelines 2026 OUT, BCI Issues Dos and Don’ts

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued the official exam day guidelines for AIBE 21 (All India Bar Examination) slated to be held on 7 June 2026. These instructions are designed to help candidates appear smoothly and avoid disqualification due to procedural lapses.

Must-Carry Documents for AIBE 21 Exam 2026

Candidates appearing for the AIBE 21 exam must ensure they carry the following essentials on the day of the examination:

  • AIBE 21 admit card 2026 – issued by the Bar Council of India
  • Valid government-issued photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport

Candidates without a valid admit card will not be allowed entry into the examination centre under any circumstances.

Before the exam day, candidates are advised to visit the allotted centre in advance to avoid delays and must report by 11:30 AM on the date of the exam. Entry will be closed after 1:15 PM.

AIBE 21 Exam 2026: Permitted and Prohibited Items

In the examination hall, candidates must adhere strictly to the following rules:

  • Permitted: Only Bare Acts without notes or comments are allowed.
  • Prohibited: Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, smart watches, bags, calculators, books, additional papers, or any form of unauthorised material.

Possession or use of any prohibited items, or involvement in unfair practices, may lead to immediate disqualification.

AIBE 21 Exam 2026: Examination Conduct and Answer Sheet Guidelines

To ensure a valid attempt, candidates should also follow these instructions carefully:

  • Filling out the OMR answer sheet must be done using a Blue/Black ball-point pen only.
  • Pencil markings on the answer sheet will result in disqualification.
  • Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the end of the examination or without handing in their answer sheet.

Accurate filling of details such as Roll Number and Set Code on the answer sheet is crucial as errors may lead to rejection of the response sheet.

AIBE 21 Exam 2026: Disability Support and Scribe Provisions

BCI has outlined special provisions for candidates with disabilities:

  • Candidates with more than 40% disability will get an extra 20 minutes per hour of exam duration, upon submission of a certified disability certificate.
  • Those with certain disabilities (such as blindness, locomotor issues affecting both arms, or cerebral palsy) may be accompanied by a scribe who meets specific criteria and carries valid ID proof.

These measures aim to ensure equitable assessment conditions for all eligible examinees.

AIBE 21 Exam 2026: Eligibility and Final Instructions

Candidates must note that appearing for the exam is provisional until the eligibility criteria are verified. If at any point it is found that the candidate does not meet the eligibility norms set by the BCI, the candidature may be cancelled. Additionally, anyone found indulging in unfair means during the examination will be subject to strict actions, including debarment from future exams. Candidates are encouraged to read all instructions provided on their admit cards and to follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth examination experience.
