AIBE 20 Result 2025 Rechecking Ends; Next Steps Explained

The Bar Council of India has closed the AIBE 20 result rechecking window on 23 January 2026. Revised results will be issued only if changes are found after OMR re-evaluation. BCI has also announced the complete schedule for AIBE 21 to be held in June 2026.
The Bar Council of India has officially closed the rechecking window for the All India Bar Examination 20 results. Candidates were allowed to apply for OMR sheet rechecking till 23 January 2026 through the official examination portal. The rechecking facility was provided to candidates who were dissatisfied with their AIBE 20 result 2025, including those declared unsuccessful. Applicants were required to submit the request online along with a rechecking fee of INR 500.
AIBE 20 Result 2025 Rechecking: Key Updates
BCI conducted the AIBE 20 OMR sheet re-evaluation to address possible discrepancies in result processing. Candidates who applied for rechecking were informed through their registered email IDs. Applicants were advised to ensure that their rechecking request was successfully submitted and acknowledged by the examination authority.
What Happens After AIBE 20 Result Rechecking?
Following the closure of the rechecking window, BCI will review the submitted OMR sheets. Before understanding the outcome, candidates should note how the revised result process works. The post-rechecking process includes:
- A revised AIBE 20 result will be issued only if there is a change in marks
- If no discrepancy is found, the original result will remain unchanged
- Candidates who qualify after rechecking will be considered successful
Qualified candidates will become eligible for the next stage of certification.
Certificate of Practice (CoP) Update After AIBE 20
Candidates who clear the AIBE 20 examination will be issued a Certificate of Practice (CoP) by the Bar Council of India. This certificate is mandatory for practising law in Indian courts. BCI is expected to announce the AIBE 20 CoP issuance schedule shortly. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor official notifications for updates related to CoP distribution.
AIBE 21 Registration and Exam Dates 2026
Alongside updates on AIBE 20, BCI has announced the official schedule for the next edition of the examination. Candidates planning to appear for AIBE 21 should take note of the confirmed timeline. The important AIBE 21 dates 2026 are listed below:
- AIBE 21 application start date: 11 February 2026
- AIBE 21 registration last date: 30 April 2026
- Application correction and fee payment: 01 May 2026
- AIBE 21 admit card release: 22 May 2026
- AIBE 21 examination date: 07 June 2026
Candidates are advised to complete the registration process within the stipulated deadline and prepare according to the prescribed syllabus.
