The AIBE 20 examination for the 2025 session is being conducted on 30-11-2025, and candidates are now focusing on the AIBE 20 passing marks and post-result certification process. The Bar Council of India will declare the result only in pass or fail format. Candidates who qualify will become eligible for the Certificate of Practice, which is mandatory for legal practice in India.
AIBE 20 Qualifying Marks and Category-Wise Criteria
The AIBE 20 qualifying criteria have been kept unchanged from previous cycles. The minimum marks required to pass are notified category-wise and are calculated based on the final answer key. Before checking the cut-off, candidates must note that the AIBE is not a ranking-based examination. There is no merit list, percentile, or scorecard ranking system. Only qualifying status is issued after result declaration. The category-wise qualifying percentage is given below.
There is no negative marking in AIBE 20. All correctly answered questions contribute to the final qualifying score.
AIBE 20 Result Format and Evaluation Process
The AIBE 20 Result 2025 will be prepared only after the release of the final answer key. Candidates will first be allowed to raise objections against the provisional key within the prescribed window. Before final evaluation begins, all submitted objections will be reviewed by subject experts. If any answer is found to be incorrect, the revised solution will be published in the final key. The result will be calculated strictly based on the revised answers. The result will display only the qualifying status as either qualified or not qualified. Detailed marks or rank positions will not be published.
Certificate of Practice Issuance After AIBE 20 Result
Candidates who qualify in AIBE 20 will receive the Certificate of Practice from the Bar Council of India. This certificate grants legal permission to practice law in Indian courts. Before the certificate is issued, qualified candidates must verify their State Bar Council enrollment details. Any mismatch in enrollment number, year of registration, or personal information may delay certificate issuance. The Certificate of Practice has lifetime validity. Once issued, candidates are not required to appear for AIBE again for professional practice.
What Candidates Should Do After AIBE 20 Result?
After the result is announced, candidates should immediately download and save their AIBE 20 qualifying status for future reference. It is also advisable to maintain copies of the admit card and enrollment certificate until the Certificate of Practice is received. Candidates who do not qualify will be allowed to appear for the next AIBE cycle as per the rules notified by the Bar Council of India. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for AIBE.
