AFCAT 1 2026 Result Soon, IAF to Release Scorecard & AFSB List

The Indian Air Force is expected to declare the AFCAT 1 2026 result shortly, likely by late February 2026, on the official AFCAT portal, afcat.edcil.co.in. Candidates who appeared in the AFCAT 1 written examination held earlier this year are awaiting the official announcement of results and subsequent selection updates. Once released, the result will include individual scorecards and qualifying status, which candidates can download by logging in with their registered email ID and password.

How to Check AFCAT 1 2026 Results and Download Scorecard?

Candidates can follow these steps once the result is published:

  1. Visit the official AFCAT result portal at afcat.edcil.co.in
  2. Navigate to the AFCAT 01/2026 result section and select it
  3. Log in using your registered email ID and password.
  4. The scorecard displaying your marks, cutoff, and qualifying status will appear on the screen
  5. Download and save the scorecard PDF for future reference.

The online result will reflect whether a candidate has met the minimum cutoff marks required to progress further in the AFCAT selection process.

What Happens After the Written Result

Candidates who qualify the AFCAT written test and meet the cutoff criteria will be shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process — the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview and testing phase. Shortlisted candidates will be able to select their AFSB date and venue from options provided on the portal after the result is declared. The AFSB round typically includes a series of assessments that evaluate a candidate’s personality, intelligence, and suitability for service

AFCAT Selection Process Overview

The AFCAT selection process comprises multiple stages:

  • Written Exam (AFCAT) – Online objective test evaluating general awareness, English, reasoning, and numerical ability
  • AFSB Interview & Testing – A comprehensive evaluation involving psychological and personal assessments.
  • Medical Examination – Candidates must clear medical standards to be considered for commission.

Candidates progressing through all stages successfully may be offered commissioned roles in various branches of the Indian Air Force.

Expected Timeline

Based on education news reports and analysis, the AFCAT 1 2026 result and scorecards are expected to be released before 25 February 2026, after which AFSB shortlisting will follow.
