AEEE 2026 Exam Pattern Revised; Quantitative Aptitude Section Added

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has announced a major change in the AEEE 2026 exam pattern, introducing a new section titled ‘Quantitative Aptitude’. Along with this update, the university has started the AEEE 2026 registration process for Phase 1 at aeee.amrita.edu. The last date to register is January 15, 2026.

 

AEEE 2026 Exam Pattern – Revised Structure and Marks Distribution

The newly added Quantitative Aptitude section will feature 10 multiple-choice questions carrying 30 marks. Apart from this addition, the exam will continue to include four traditional subjects — Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English — similar to the previous year. Each question will carry three marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Below is the detailed AEEE 2026 revised exam pattern:

AEEE 2026 Registration and Fee Details

The AEEE 2026 registration link is active, and candidates can complete the process online. This year, Amrita has increased the registration fee by INR 100.

  • For AEEE only or AEEE + JEE Main: INR 1300
  • For candidates applying only via JEE Main scores: INR 500
  • For test centres abroad: USD 85 or INR 7500

Candidates can select their preferred exam date and time through the slot booking process starting January 10, 2026.

 

AEEE 2026 Exam Dates and Phases

The Phase 1 exam will be conducted from January 29 to February 1, 2026, with two shifts daily — 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The Phase 2 exam is scheduled from April 25 to 30, 2026, and the last date to apply for Phase 2 will be announced later. Candidates appearing in Phase 1 will be allowed to improve their scores by attending Phase 2, by paying an additional INR 600.
