The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a part of the Tata Memorial Centre, has invited applications for its Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) 2026 for enrollment into its PhD programme in Life Sciences. Programme Overview & Research Focus
ACTREC’s PhD in Life Sciences is designed to nurture researchers in topics ranging from cancer biology, immunotherapy, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and structural biology. Applicants will join a research-intensive environment at ACTREC’s Kharghar campus in Navi Mumbai, under the aegis of the Department of Atomic Energy.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the ACTREC JRF 2026 must meet the following criteria:
- A Master’s degree in Life-Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent from a recognized university.
- For those applying under the “external fellowship” route: A valid Junior Research Fellowship award (CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT etc.).
- Candidates whose names appear on the shortlist of the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) may also apply.
